Lon Thomas Crowell, 40, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, after 14 years of heart disease.
Born June 15, 1977, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Thomas H. and Debra L. (Weisz) Crowell.
Lon graduated from Williamsport High School in 1995 and the five-year apprentice program with Local 486 Plumbers, Steamfitters and Pipefitters of Baltimore, Md.
He was a member of Otterbein Methodist Church. He also attended Hedgesville Church.
In addition to his parents, Lon is survived by his grandmother, Janet Crowell Lefferts; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Butch, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ridenour, and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Brezler; many cousins; and beloved dog, Juliet.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bret Michael Crowell; and grandfather, Harold Lefferts.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Steve Robison will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.
