BAKER, Christopher 'Chris' Oct 28, 1958 – Sep 28, 2018

Christopher “Chris” Lee Baker, 59, Kokomo, passed away on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at his home. He was born Oct. 28, 1958, in Kokomo, to James “Al” and Nell (Sewell) Baker.
Chris graduated from Northwestern High School in 1977 and worked for Al Baker & Sons Construction for over 30 years. He enjoyed website design and blogging and loved being outside arrowhead hunting, fishing, and having bonfires with friends and family. Chris was a devoted caregiver to his parents and loved spending time with his friends, neighbors and his parents' neighbors. He was a beloved friend to many of the kids in the neighborhood. He was a long-time contributor to the Kokomo Rescue Mission and was a member of the Home Builders Association of Howard County.
Survivors include his parents; siblings, Alrita (Baker) Barton, Jim Baker and wife Christine, and Steve Baker and wife Joanne; children, Joshua Baker, Matthew Baker, Isaiah Baker and wife Kylie, and Olivia (Baker) Saner and husband Michael; grandchildren, Saafiyah Tyler, Josiah Baker, Oliver Baker, Henry Baker, Emily Saner, Katelyn Saner, and Ethan Saner; mother of his children, Cindy Gross; uncle, Virgil Baker; cousins, Glen and Ann McEowen, and Keith McEowin; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Baker.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Funeral services celebrating Chris' life will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Nathaniel Hackett officiating.
