Richard C. “Dick” Jennings, 90, of Chenoa, died at 12:43 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Brown Jug in Chenoa.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, has charge of arrangements.
Richard was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Harry W. and Theresa (McKay) Jennings. His life-partner for more than 40 years, Leda Thacker, survives him in Chenoa.
Other survivors include one son, Mike (Joyce) Jennings; his grandchildren, Michael Jennings Jr., Rick Jennings, Wendy Sherman, all of Columbus, Ohio; William (Janis) Thacker, Chenoa; and their children, Jake and Jessica Thacker.
His parents and a daughter, Vicky Whitten, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
