Sharon J. DeJaeger, 78, of Geneseo, died Wednesday, Sept, 20, 2017, at Genesis East, in Davenport, Iowa. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at First Lutheran Church, in Geneseo. The Rev. Matt Kamprath will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens, in Silvis. A visitation will be one hour (Noon to 1 p.m.) prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, in Geneseo. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sharon was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Moline, the daughter of Carl and Perry Johnson. She graduated from Moline High School and attended the University of Illinois. Sharon was united in marriage to Gerald R. DeJaeger on Sept. 21, 1957, celebrating one day short of 60 years together. She was a member of Le Vieux Grenier Antique Club (Questers International), and collected many artifacts. Sharon loved cooking and traveling. She especially enjoyed traveling to Spain.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald; her sons, Kevin (Kathy) DeJaeger, of Geneseo; and Kenneth (Joy) DeJaeger, of Norwalk, Conn.; and her daughter, Kathleen DeJaeger, of Geneseo. Her grandchildren are: Darren, Tara, Tes and Mia; and her great-grandchildren are Benjamin, Shae and Aiden. She also is survived by her sisters, Suzie (Bob) Pheiffer, of Spring Hill, Kan.; and Sandy (Dick) Blomberg, of Mt. Home, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Perry.
