James G. “Jim” Wright Jr., 78, of Eldorado, died January 8, 2016 in Eldorado.
Jim was born in Rock, IL to the late Glenn and Faye (Palmer) Wright. He was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church in Eldorado and a veteran of the Cuban Missel Crisis. He was a retired John Deere Mechanic, starting at the Bramlets John Deere in the feed side and working over to the John Deere side and ending at Emerick Brothers Equipment.
On August 30, 1962 he married the former Dorothy Hosmon and she survives in Eldorado. Also surviving are his children: James (Sandy) Wright of Lake Alfred, FL and Marie (Keith) Lands of Harrisburg. Two grandchildren: Jamie Wright of Lake Alfred, FL and Rachel Lands of Harrisburg. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Katherine Wright of Eldorado and Margaret (Gene) Hall of Eldorado. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Violet Fox and Carolyn Omohundro.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Russell Helton. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Rock, IL. Visitation for Jim will be on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the College Heights Baptist Church or Mt. Zion Cemetery in Rock, IL.
