Elijah Carroll Rosenberger
July 29, 1981 – November 23, 2015
Elijah Carroll Rosenberger, 34, of Effingham, formerly of Ramsey, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015. Elijah was born July 29, 1981 in Springfield, IL, to Meridith Lynn & Martha Gayle (Carroll) Rosenberger. He grew up in Ramsey, but had resided in Effingham for the past 13 years.
Eli graduated from Ramsey High School, Class of 1999 and Lincoln Technical Institute, Indianapolis, IN in 2000. He was employed by Dan Hecht Chevrolet/Toyota, Effingham in the Parts Department. He also had attended St. Louis Christian College.
He was a member of Cornerstone Church, Effingham; Sons of the American Legion Post 460, Ramsey; and St. Louis Volkswagen Car Club of St. Louis. Eli was a car parts junkie and he loved to part out cars. His dream was to do mission work in third world countries. He enjoyed helping people and always put others before himself.
He is survived by his parents; sisters: Cassie Rosenberger, St. Louis, MO; Christa Rosenberger, Collinsville, IL; grandmother, Louise Carroll, Pana formerly of Nokomis. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: James B. Carroll and Zola V. & Gertrude A. (Weers) Rosenberger.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the United in Faith Church, Pana with Eric Splechter and Rev. Robert A. Miner officiating. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
