CANTON—Dennis Ray Blagden, 65, of Canton passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

CANTON—Dennis Ray Blagden, 65, of Canton passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

 

He was born to the late Harold and Betty (Tracey) Blagden March 7, 1952, in Avon. He married Judy Ann Rose in Galesburg in 1974.

 

Dennis is survived by his wife Judy of Canton; daughters Amy Blagden-Purtle, Susan (Jerry) Coulter and Julie (Jeremy) Cummins, all of Canton; five grandchildren; sister Alice (Delbert) Rogers of Florida; brother Alvin (Connie) Blagden of Canton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

After graduating from Bushnell-Prairie City High School, Dennis attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg. He worked as a Die Cutter at Winpak in Pekin, and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and working outdoors.

 

A private Celebration of Life for Dennis will be held Saturday, Aug. 19.

 

Memorial donations in honor of Dennis may be made to his family.
