Lorraine Bundy, 80, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, in the Monroe Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Beachy and Pastor Rob Coones officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens in Monroe.
Lorraine was a member of Grace Temple in Monroe and she was a foster parent in North Carolina for 20 years. She was known as wife, Mom, Grandma, Oma, and sister and friend.
She loved with an open heart to all that she met, as she was able to connect with people in a personal way. She lived as a prayer warrior and was loved and cherished by all who were blessed with her friendship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Caroll and Lovada Miller Young; husband, Kenneth Bundy; and son, Kenny Bundy.
She is survived by her children, Randy Bundy, of Monroe, Etta York, of Monroe, and Teresa and Dwight Beachy, of Monroe; brothers, Wayne Young, of High Point, North Carolina, and David Young, of Monroe; sisters, Mary Brooks, of Williston, Florida, and Grace Allen, of Monroe; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home,
