Raymond Ellis Fisher, 49, a 15 year resident of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016. Before making his way to Florida, he lived in such places as Wolf Point, MT (where he was born on January 18th, 1967), Wauseon, OH (the home of his two children), and Washington D.C. (where he served the U.S. Military as a switchboard operator). While residing in Lee County, he worked as a service technician for CenturyLink, providing almost 20 years of loyal service to the company. While not on the clock, Raymond enjoyed activities such as running, relaxing at the beach, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play, and spending time with his many beloved friends and family members.

While possessing a laid-back nature and wonderful sense of humor, Raymond proved that he had discipline necessary of a soldier. He dedicated 10 years of service to the U.S. Army, several of which he spent working at the Pentagon, along with time afterwards spent in the Army Reserves. Raymond defended his country during Operation Desert Storm, and he rose to the rank of a Sergeant in 1996. Raymond took great pride in his military achievements, and in honor of his years of loyal service, he will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery.

Raymond will be remembered as a loving father, husband, friend, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Becka Fisher of Cape Coral; mother, Beverly Buckley of Browning, MT; four loving children, Alec and Abby Rae Fisher, both of Wauseon, OH, Jessica Six of Cape Coral, FL and Garrett Six (Rebecca) of West Hampton, NJ; three sisters, Colleen, Donita and Sharon; one brother, Roger; four grandchildren, Ebony, Elijah, Anthony and Gavin; mother-in-law, Mary Frances Simmons of Cape Coral; as well as Zoé, his faithful yellow lab.
Raymond was preceded in death by a sister, Dorita.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Raymond are suggested to be donated to Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.
