G. Marvin Clickner, died August 6, 2017. Marv was 88 years old and was born and raised in Rochester, New York. The only child of Neal and Vern Clickner.
He joined the Navy and served 2 stints in WWII and the Korean conflict. Using the G.I. Bill Marv entered Vanderbilt University graduating with a degree in electrical engineering. He joined Xerox Corporation as part of the design team that designed and built the first copy machine. Marv enjoyed riding his Gold Wing motor cycle, skiing all across the country and playing tennis.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 37 Years Ellie White, of Altoona, his loving son and daughter: Todd and Trina Clickner, both of Rochester, New York. He was also much loved by Ellie’s children Laurie, Amy, Will, Liz and Joe.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares Fl. Services will be scheduled at a later time. Arrangements are entrusted to Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Boulevard in The Villages.
