Cook obit

H.T. “Buddy” Cook, 77 of Graceville, went home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.

Buddy was born on November 5, 1938 in Graceville, Florida to William T. and Victoria (Jones) Cook. Known as a farmer and service technician by many, Mr. Buddy was a lifelong resident of the panhandle. During his spare time he enjoyed cooking and loved being in his garden. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Graceville.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Victoria Cook; brother: Jimmy Cook; two sisters: Sarah Nell Crutchfield, Letha Kolmetz.

He is survived by his three daughters: Debbie McCrary and husband Turhan of Graceville, FL, Tracy Bush of Chipley, FL, Melissa Adkins of Chipley, FL; brother: Freeman Cook and wife Barbara of Graceville, FL; two sisters: Ruth Taylor and husband Ed of Chipley, FL, Molly Rustin and husband Pete of Graceville, FL; eight grandchildren: Crystal, Travis, Kyle, Jessica, Alex, Luke, Justin, Jenna; five great grandchildren: Gage, Gavin, Paige, Zooey, and Kayne.

Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Salem United Methodist Church in Graceville, FL with Rev. Steven Ashbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
