Lanier-Andler Funeral Home 8261 Highway 90 East Sneads, Florida 850-593-9900 Bonita Dudley Cook, 81, a native of Jackson County Florida, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. She was born on January 15, 1935 to Governor and Thelma Durden Dudley and had 3 siblings. She was married to James Alton Cook until his passing in 1987. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her only son James Michael Cook. She was also preceded in death by her nephew Edwin Eugene Rabon. Surviving family members include sisters Elizabeth Thompson, Junell Stillinger and Brenda Rabon and her husband Eddie Rabon. A special cousin and caregiver Ladon Moneyham. Bonita thought of her nieces and nephews as children: Barbara Rabon, Bill Cook, Eddie Cook, Dianne Studstill, Chris Rabon, Timmy Rabon, and Stephanie Stillinger. She graduated from Grand Ridge High School and then went to Troy State University to obtain her BS Degree in Elementary Education. She worked for 32 years with the Jackson County School System as a Loving and Devoted teacher before retiring. She was a devout Christian who was a member of the Sneads First Assembly of God Church. She was an avid prayer warrior who loved the Lord with all her Heart. Funeral Services for Bonita Dudley Cook will be at 2:00 pm CST Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Sneads First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Juno Douglas and Rev. Jack Howell officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the Shady Grove Cemetery.
