Rae Blankenship passed away peacefully on December 19, 2015. She was born April 9, 1929 in Popular Bluff, MO to Oliver and Evelyn Blankenship. She was preceded in death by Gladys “Rebbie” Kuhen her partner of 43 years and her parents, Oliver and Evelyn. Rae retired from an eventful and colorful 30 year career with American Airlines followed by a brief career in real estate. During her career with American Airlines she lived in most of the major cities from New York to Los Angeles before settling in Palm Springs 20 years ago.

Rae will be greatly missed for her advice, wisdom and wit. There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.

The iconic voice of the Coachella Valley for over 27 years has flown of into the sunset. Bob Osterberg, better known as the “Red Baron” for KCHV radio back in the 70s, 80s and 90s passed peacefully with his family by his side on January 1, 2016.
