Jam, ElaineMrs. G. Elaine Jam, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully in San Juan Capistrano, California, on January 1st, 2016 at the age of 87. Elaine, as she was known, is survived by her daughter Caroline, of Laguna Niguel, and a son, Steven, of Lake Forest. She has two granddaughters, Katie Himmelwright and Melinda Baer, and four great-grandchildren.
Elaine Hampton was born on February 25th, 1928, in Flint, Michigan, to Ralph and Geraldine Hampton, and grew up in Detroit. She married Edward Jam, also of Detroit, in 1946. Elaine and Ed moved to West Covina, CA in 1959, Ed working as a school principal for the Little Lake Unified School District in Santa Fe Springs. Elaine worked as a school secretary for the West Covina Unified School District, while at the same time raising their two children. They moved to Dana Point in 1977. Elaine will be buried next to her husband, Edward, on January 12, 2016 at El Toro Memorial Park. Interment will be private.You can find the complete original obituary on this website.
