Lloyd Paul Hamilton was born in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange, CA, on March 10, 1936. His parents were Elmer Hamilton & Martha Fischer Hamilton. His sister, Celia Louise Woodworth, preceded him in death on December 11, 2011. Lloyd’s grandparents were among the early German settlers in Anaheim, CA.
Lloyd married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Halvorsen Hamilton, in June 1957. They met in the first grade, at Katella Elementary school, in Anaheim, CA. He was a loving husband of 58 years, father & grandfather.
Lloyd graduated from Anaheim Union High School in 1954 and from California State University in Long Beach in 1958, with a degree in Business Management. He had a career as Business Manager at Santa Ana Junior College and later, was Director of Business at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA. Lloyd retired early to manage his personal business properties in Santa Ana & Huntington Beach, CA.
He loved fishing & boating, and enjoyed many summers on Vancouver Island in Canada. Vacationing in his coach was also something that he looked forward to. Many summers were spent at June Lake, CA with his family & friends.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Douglas P. Hamilton, his wife Karen & their two sons, Matt & Tim; his daughter, Sandy Hamilton Lack, her husband Craig Lack & their two sons, Ryan & Mark.
The family will respect Lloyd’s wishes, that there should be no memorial services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to ‘The Lloyd Hamilton Campus Life Scholarship’, to Golden West College, Foundation Office, 15744 Golden West Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92627.
