Frazier, Spencer Jerome, (August 7, 1951- December 30, 2015) entered into eternal life in Portland, Oregon on December 30, 2015. He was born to Vernelle & George Frazier as one of 12 children and pursued his dreams as a visionary and creative innovator. His wife Barbara Frazier passed away in 2004 and he is survived by his son, Spencer John Frazier. In his time at Mater Dei High School he was not only pious but also deeply involved as a leader and team player, including such roles as Senior Class President and Varsity Football captain in 68′-69′. He is remembered by his family, friends, and peers as a truly loving and giving man. Spencer always had an eye toward the unexplored. The highlight of his professional career was his service as an executive officer for multiple cruise lines including Cunard, Kloster and Royal Viking Line. He was one of the first in the cruise industry to take a hard look at the ecological impact of cruising. Whether voyaging in the stars, or the sea, Spencer was always looking out over the horizon and toward a brighter future and was hopeful for humanity’s ability to “dream.” As a Catholic, Spencer had a special devotion to Mary and often reaffirmed that his friendship with Jesus carried him through the more difficult times of his life. Spencer will be deeply missed but his legacy thrives in the memory of his works, his bright smile, the families of his many siblings, his son, and everyone else who knew this magnanimous man. A Celebration of Life will take place in August 2016. Memorial donations may be made to a , NASA, or to a marine conservation charity.
