Trip passed away on Saturday after complications due to Kidney Cancer Surgery. He impacted so many people with his leadership, strength, generosity and love for his family and friends. He was a one of a kind man with so many blessings in his life.
Trip was born in Fairfield, CA to Tripoli and Roberta Collaro. He has 3 siblings: sister Desiree Martinez of Brentwood, sister Tami Boaz and brother Dino Collaro, both of Martinez.
He graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, CA in 1979. He was an amazing athlete and there he met his lifelong soul mate Jill who he married in 1981. He immediately began his career in the field of Construction. He went to work for Richlen Construction. He loved every minute of his 34 years there. They quickly recognized his talent and utilized him to be one of their greatest assets rising to Vice President of Operations. He loved his work and the people he worked with.
Trip is survived by his loving wife Jill of 35 years, daughter Lacey Joel (26) and son Jared Anthony (24). They were to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary this June in Italy. He loved his family, friends and his life. He did things BIG! When he put his mind to it, “IT HAPPENED!” He planned the greatest vacations and always had the greatest time doing it. His home is a masterpiece of his God given talents. His family and friends are witness to his beautiful spirit that will live on forever. He loved his family with all his heart and loved to golf with his friends and loved the Giants and Warriors. His passion for building things around the house was only surpassed by the passion he had for his family.
Friends and family are invited to his Celebration of Life on Saturday January 16th 2016 at 11:00 am at New Hope International Church 2120 Olivera Ct, Concord CA. He will be laid to rest at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette.
