June 20, 1931 — December 21, 2015
Clinton (Pa) was strong until very near the end. He grew up in Bandera, Texas and served in the army during the Korean conflict. He went to University of Alabama. He married the love of his life, Annie Tubbs. He was devastated when she and his brother-in-law were killed by a drunk driver on the way to deliver Clinton’s second child. His sister Luna and niece Susan moved in with him afterwards. He never remarried.
He began his work as a computer programer back when the programs were made on punch cards, on the IBM 704 (2nd computer made). He remained a computer nerd for the rest of his life.
His son was an avid local motorcycle racer at Willow Springs. He loved tuning his son’s bikes and going to the races. They both worked on bikes together until the end.
The light of his later life was living with his granddaughters. He doted on them, went to every event, and walked them to the bus stop every morning. He would sit and be the character they needed for their creative play for hours on end.
His older sister, Grace Scott, passed away August of 2014. He is survived by his son Clinton, niece Susan Hawkins, daughter-in-law Tanya, and his granddaughters Audrey and Katherine.
His funeral will be at the Bakersfield National Cemetery on January 8th at 9:15am.http://www.bakersfield.com/image/2016/01/07/1500x1500_q90_p1/14051020-jpg.jpgYou can find the complete original obituary on this website.
