Florentino Bolo Catudan passed away on the 7th of January, 2016. He was a dedicated husband (widowed 2008) and caring father of two and grandfather to four. He was a man of God and devout Catholic, dedicating his entire life serving the Lord, his family and his country. Florentino epitomized the meaning of love in the family he raised, brother and sisters he brought into the United States and the men he led as a soldier in the Army. As a retired/career U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer, he was decorated with the Bronze Star for Valor and the Purple Heart for his participation in the Vietnam War. Florentino, known as ‘Tinong or Tino’, was born April 20th, 1928, in a northern city province of the Philippines, Batac-Ilocos Norte. He came from humble beginnings and was the middle son of 9 siblings in a farming family. He carried a quiet, soft spoken, demeanor but a strong work ethic. Florentino is survived by his sister Josephine Ramos, brother Nicanor Catudan, son Florentine Jr., grandchildren: Chatree M. Thongkham, Cheylene C. Thongkham, Sofia & Gabriella Catudan.
Visitation Services will be held on January 18, 2016 at: Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City, CA 94014 from 3:00-9:00pm with a Vigil Mass at 6:00pm. Funeral Services are on January 19, 2016 at: St. Elisabeth Catholic Church, 459 Somerset St., San Francisco, CA 94134 at 10:00am with Interment to follow at: 1500 Mission Rd., Colma, CA 94080. Reception to follow.
