Chic A. Beck 4-11-51 to 12-5-15 Chic left us on December, 5, 2015, to continue his journey beyond time and space and with love in his heart for those he left behind. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jillane Beck; sister, Patti Oxford; son, Charles Beck; daughter, Dana Beck; step-daughters, Lisa Burdine-Davies (Jonathan) and Lori Stahr (Dan); grandsons, Alec and Ashton Jones; and step-grandchildren, Cameron, Shelby, Brooklyn, Alexis, Alyssa, Lucas, Jacob, and great-grandson Cabe. Chic moved to Lake County in 1978 from Sonoma County and opened his first business, Fire Safety Equipment Co., which he owned and operated for 21 years. Wanting a change he sold the business in 1999 and opened Beck’s Auto Outlet in Lakeport. After seven years he and his wife, Jillane, moved to southern Indiana where Chic then purchased, remodeled and operated two small apartment buildings. In 2009, missing family and friends, Chic and his wife moved back to Kelseyville. Always the entrepreneur, Chic started Beck’s Economy Chimney Sweeps in 2010, which he operated until 2013 when he then re-opened Beck’s Auto Outlet in Lakeport. As well as servicing Lake and Mendocino Counties for 37 years with his businesses, Chic also, at one time, was a volunteer fireman for the Kelseyville Fire Dept. and for several years raced in several different classes at the Lakeport Speedway. Chic loved Lake County and being of service to his community. Per Chic’s request, there will be no funeral services. He was a self-made man who was loved and will be missed.
