Born, Ruth Ione Custer, in St. Paul, Minnesota August 23, 1914, passed on peacefully December 31, 2015 at 101 years, in Roseville, California.
She is preceded in death by her husband Stan Acres. And survived by her children : Nancy Milliman of Spokane, Washington, Alice (Paul) Arthur, Olympic Valley, California, Tess Hansford, Fallbrook, California, Ted (Carolsue) Acres Granite Bay, California; grandchildren: Valerie, Shelley, Roger, Cindy, Chris, Leanne, Julie and Stan and nine great grandchildren.
Ruth was a dedicated mother, wife and avid supporter of Pomona High School Athletics. She was a member of Eastern Star and served as president of Rancho Cucamonga Women’s Club. She loved to travel, sing and dance. Ruth was known for her cooking, baking and sense of humor.
She was a wonderful supportive mother who will be so missed. Thanks for many lasting memories Mom,

A private family celebration of our mother’s life will be held at Lake Tahoe, one of her favorite places, this summer.
